On May 11, 2023, Ms. Bùi Hoàng Anh, Art Director, representative of Viet Art View had a meeting with Ms. Joan Yip, senior specialist of Bonhams Auction House, in charge of South East Asian, Indian, Himalayan Art at Viet Art View office.
Currently, Vietnamese Art is really receiving a lot of attention from international auction houses when paintings by Vietnamese artists are appearing more and more, with diverse names and generations. Auction houses in turn send experts to work and learn about the Vietnamese market.
Ms. Joan Yip said that Bonhams’ upcoming goal is to discover more names of artists from the next generation of Indochina Fine Arts College.
In the “Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary” auction on May 27, 2033 at Bonhams Hongkong, in addition to the big names of Vietnamese fine arts such as Nguyễn Phan Chánh, Lê Phổ, Nguyễn Tư Nghiêm, Trần Lưu Hậu, there were also the appearance of artists of opening times such as Đặng Xuân Hòa, Bùi Hữu Hùng, Hồng Việt Dũng… with starting prices quite close to the domestic market.
