Painter Huynh Van Thuan (1921-2017), born in 1921 in Saigon. He attended and graduated from the École d’Arts de Gia Dinh – Gia Dinh Art School (1936-1939). After that, he continued to study at Indochina Fine Arts College, class 13 (1939-1944). In the same class there were Sy Ngoc, Tran Dinh Tho, Pham Van Don, Nguyen Trong Hop… are painters with many achievements in their works on revolutionary topics like Huynh Van Thuan.
In this video, Viet Art View would like to introduce to you art lovers the trio of lacquer engraving paintings by artist Huynh Van Thuan. Two paintings were sketched in detail by the artist in 1952, 1954; the other was in 1986.
