On Thursday March 7, 2024, our 42nd sale dedicated to Painters of Asia will take place. It already includes a wide selection of works representative of the renewal of modern art in Vietnam at the beginning of the 20th century, as well as a panorama of the techniques developed at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de l’Indochine.

Marguerite, Vu Cao Dam’s grand-niece, is shown here in the family garden in Béziers, circa 1951. We’d like to thank Yannick Vu-Jakober for his comment: “For me, it’s more a question of my first cousin Marguerite, the eldest daughter of my first cousin Anna. At the time, we lived in neighboring houses and my cousin by marriage Do Dinh Can raised chickens in the garden. She was about five years old, while I was 9 in ’51.”
