Christie’s is thrilled to host 100 Years of Harlem: Resonating Around the World, a showcase of 30 artworks by artists connected to Harlem and City College Center for the Arts. The exhibition celebrates the centennial of the Harlem Renaissance, a formative time in New York City’s art scene. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the contributing artists with the remainder earmarked for the City College Center for the Arts’ Youth Arts Empowerment Program, which each year provides free art workshops, performances and lectures to more than 8,000 underserved youth in the Harlem community.
The mission of The City College Center for the Arts is to provide a creative arts center and focal point for The City College of New York, building a sense of community within the College, elevating the profile of Aaron Davis Hall in the greater New York area, and connecting the College to the surrounding community through the arts.
