On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the historic Điện Biên Phủ victory, Viet Art View respectfully introduce to art lovers 61 works on the theme of revolutionary history donated by Việt Nam Fine Arts Association to the Fine Arts Museum of Điện Biên in 2004. The works created by members of Việt Nam Fine Arts Association in many visual genres such as: painting, sculpture, promotional posters… on a variety of different materials such as oil, lacquer, gouache, woodblock print, composite, bronze, etc. These works were printed in the book Fine art works celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2004), Fine Arts Publishing House.
The 61 works are the gift that express the affection and gratitude of artists and members of Việt Nam Fine Arts Association to the soldiers who fought and sacrificed in the Điện Biên Phủ campaign and people of Điện Biên province today are determined to build Điện Biên city and Điện Biên province increasingly rich and beautiful.
We have known that in order to have fine art works created on the theme of the historic Điện Biên Phủ Victory, right from the beginning of 2003, Việt Nam Fine Arts Association launched creating among its members, organizing three delegations for the field trip in Điện Biên. Some works were displayed in the National 10-year Sculpture Exhibition (December 2023). 84 works participated in the exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ victory held at the Fine Arts Exhibition House 16 Ngô Quyền on May 4, 2004.
132 works participated in the Exhibition of cultural, artistic and journalistic works organized by the General Department of Politics of Việt Nam People’s Army at the Việt Nam Military History Museum, opening on April 23, 2004. 105 works participated in the Fine Art Exhibition to Celebrate the Điện Biên Phủ Victory organized by Việt Nam Fine Arts Association and Hồ Chí Minh City Fine Arts Association in Hồ Chí Minh City on April 27, 2004.
