Because CONG THANH is the signature of painter Phạm Công Thành (1932-2022), a famous professor – painter – exemplary teacher for many generations of students in Vietnam University of Fine Arts. He is the author of the famous book ‘The rules of perspective’ compiled in 1975, first published in 1982; then reprinted to 4, 5 times. This is a “bedside pillow” book for art students.
In fact, paintings by artist Phạm Công Thành do not have many transactions in the market (both domestic and international) because the family is very conscious of preserving. But people in the art world understand, the price of his paintings cannot be at that level. It may be 10, 20, 30 times (or x times) the price of 320 EUR. This price is based on the transaction for some of his silk paintings, not to mention the love of many people for his work and his reputation.
