On June 30, 2023, Ms Bùi Hoàng Anh – Art Director, representative of Viet Art View company welcomed esteemed guests from Shanghai and Hong Kong. Mr Johnson (Dương Trí Dũng) – Director of Shanghai Art Investment Fund and Ms Jean (Trương Tĩnh) – a member of the investment fund, and their assistant visited Viet Art View’s office.

Shanghai Art Investment Fund was established in 2017 by a number of investors who love art. They see art as a fascinating, exciting, and exploratory investment. The fund’s collection of Vietnamese art spans from 1925 to recent times.

Over the years, the fund has collected many precious works of Vietnamese painting such as works by painters Nguyễn Gia Trí, Lê Phổ, Mai Trung Thứ, Lê Thị Lựu, Vũ Cao Đàm… Especially, the fund has many works by painter Nguyễn Trung. It can be said that the Shanghai Art Investment Fund currently owns the most works of painter Nguyễn Trung.

Nguyễn Gia Trí, Hamlet, 1940, Lacquer, six elements, 36 13/16 × 79 1/8 inch (93.5 × 201 cm). The painting belongs to the collection of Shanghai Art Investment Fund.

Lê Phổ, Playing Music, 1975, Oil on canvas, 38⅝ × 51⅝ inch (98 × 131 cm). The painting belongs to the collection of Shanghai Art Investment Fund.

Nguyễn Trung, Flowers, Fruits and Dreams, 1999, Oil on canvas, 59 1/16 × 70 7/8 inch (150 × 180 cm). The painting belongs to the collection of Shanghai Art Investment Fund.

After four years, Mr Johnson was able to visit Việt Nam again after the Covid-19 epidemic prevention policy in China. This trip of the group is aimed at visiting the art market in Việt Nam again, seeking investment cooperation opportunities with reputable companies in expertise and operating in the field of art.
