With these paintings, we might wonder if it’s the artists made the sacred beauty of mother and child or the greatness of mother and child love created that beauty?

William-Adolphe Bouguereau – “Temptation” (1880)

The space in the painting is very fine and the atmosphere seems warm. A mother and her baby are enjoying simple things – playing, talking together. The painting Temptation is a typical classic painting, strictly following the standards of proportion, color and shape.

 

 

Pablo Picasso – “Motherhood” (1901)

Pablo Picasso’s paintings are characterized by shapes and angles. This is one of the rare works in which Picasso had such a gentle way of painting. The painting has a simple name, Motherhood. Divine simplicity.

 

 

Vincent Van Gogh – “Portrait of the artist’s mother” (1888)

Mother of the famous artist Van Gogh only smiled very slightly in the painting with her eyes and forehead showing something like worry. When the painting was finished, she also felt worried. Fate was ironic when the artist passed away shortly after giving birth. The painting was created just before Paula gave birth. This work is considered Paula’s artistic will: Every mother in this world, when giving birth to a child, not only brings another member to humanity, but also brings hope for a brighter future.
