This very beautiful silk work ‘Two children in the garden’ of Le Thi Luu was created around 1960, dimension 60×46 cm. Starting price is 350-650K HKD (approximately 2 billion VND). A moderate price for a painting ‘Made in Le Thi Luu’.

In the online auction titled ‘Modern Day Auction’ at Sotheby’s Hongkong on April 28, 2022, there are also many works by Vietnamese artists. Mainly the works are of the quartet group ‘Phổ, Thứ, Lựu, Đàm’ four Vietnamese great artists living abroad.

In general, it can be seen that the later works and names of the Resistance Course –   To Ngoc Van’s course, the early days of Vietnam’s socialist construction, are almost absent. Therefore, sometimes they also become boring and unattractive…

In fact, Vietnamese painting in wartime and post-war period has great names and works that are not yet known, explored at international exhibitions. Vietnamese fine arts are very rich and diverse. Hopefully in the very near future, we will have chances to see such works on auction floors with familiar names.

And in fact, auction houses need consultation of experts from Vietnam. There are many great names, interesting works to find and explored. Because Vietnamese paintings, most are only sold to Vietnamese people.
